My Story
Hello, My name is Ogie and on July 8th I plan to go with an amazing team to run Tough Mudder and raise funds for Pieta House a national Suicide and Self Harm prevention Charity. I've Been Bereaved by Suicide. Sadly this is the situation for far too many in this country. Wheater a father, son, uncle or friend most people can relate to this. I am very passionate about mental health and wellbeing, helping to normalise the conversation around mental health for males and to empower young men to speak and seek help. I have and there is no shame in it! We can no longer continue in the patterns which have crippled so many. Suicide is sadly the number one killer of males under 45, with Ireland having the second highest suicide rate in Europe. Pieta House are leading the way in providing support to young men and women in Ireland who are self harming or in danger of committing suicide. The funds raised will go directly towards those in need to provide respite, therapy and support on their journey. Thanks for your support!!
