This Summer I will be travelling to Kisiizi in South West Uganda for 4 weeks as part of the UCD Volunteers Overseas Project. I will be volunteering in Kisiizi Hospital  with other nursing students as well as physiotherapy, medical and nutrition students. We aim to provide training workshops for local staff on nutrition and disability awareness. We will also be running a camp for children with cerebral palsy and their families where they will learn more about their child's condition. Each volunteer is asked to raise €1,400 which will be used exclusively to fund aspects of the project such as physiotherapy equipment, improving the hospital infrastructure, training for local staff and maintaining the resources that UCD Volunteers Overseas projects have contributed to since 2013. Any funds raised through this page will be used directly in for the project and will not contribute towards my personal costs such as  flights, visas and vaccinations.   If anyone has any questions about the project please feel free to contact me.Any donation no matter what size will help to make a positive impact in the community of Kisiizi.
