My Story
I have been given an amazing opportunity to develop my physical therapy skills with a very special patient population. This coming summer I will be traveling to Southeast India where I will be working with children with disabilities ranging from cerebral palsy, children on the autism spectrum and the visually, speech and hearing impaired among other disabilities. I will be heading over in June of 2018 to complete my final clinical placement for my Masters in Physiotherapy along with several other students and will spend that time working with the children in the physical therapy clinic, educational days and other activities such as a Special Olypmics day.UCD has partnered with “Care and Share” which was founded to provide a place for children to stay and receive rehabilitation that they may not otherwise have access to. As a charity organization in a place where the need for therapy vastly outweighs resources I am looking for your help in raising money to help improve services for these children. I am hoping to raise €1400 (~$1600) which 100% of donations will go directly to this orphanage to pay for new equipment and maintenance to the facilities. Any amount donated is greatly appreciated and will make a huge difference in these children’s lives!
