My Story
I am fundraising as part of group of 16 volunteers from Paddy Power Betfair who are volunteering with Habitat for Humanity in Zambia. Zambia is a region where more than 80 percent of the population is considered low-income and families in both rural and urban areas are unable to attain safe and decent housing. My late uncle, Brother John Meade dedicated much of his life to working in Zambia and part of my motivation for his project is to continue the great work he did in this small way. Our group will travel to Zambia for 2 weeks in August to build houses, providing help with a variety of tasks including mixing concreate, transporting bricks, construction, fittings and much more. As part of my fundraising activities I will attempt to climb the 2,700 metres of the Wicklow 200km cycle. Any donations appreciated. Thanks.
