Hey there! My name is Cashel McGrath and I am a final year Commerce Student in UCD. Next summer I will be heading to Uganda to volunteer as part of the UCD Volunteering Overseas Society. UCDVO is a registered charity which provides UCD students, staff and alumni the opportunity to engage in a year-long volunteering and development education programme for the benefit of disadvantaged communities overseas, in response to needs explicitly identified by those communities.  We will spend a month volunteering in a healthcare centre in Nansana which is just outside the capital of Kampala. We will be working in partnership with Nurture Africa  and will be engaged in a health centre project providing access to Healthcare, Education, Sustainable Livelihoods and Child Welfare for vulnerable families within the area.  All of the money raised through my altruism page will go directly towards the project. I will cover my personal travel/accommodation costs for the month myself, so you know that your donation will be making a difference.
