Projects

1. We have established Ireland's first 'Towards Zero Waste' Community in Cashel and will be pursuing various local actions and workshops to reduce waste in Cashel. We will also engage local individuals, groups and businesses to identify potential new ventures that would embrace zero waste and create jobs.

2. We have created a project called ‘Food Rescue’, where local communities work with their local shops and individuals to make a neighbourhood meal out of food that would have been thrown away along with other educational activities.

3. We are investigating policy options to green the economy through new financial instruments and through the adoption of Green Public Procurement

4. We are working with the Conscious Cup Campaign to reduce the amount of disposable coffee cups used each day. We are encouraging people to use reusable coffee cups when getting take away coffee.
