Cause
The Hope Foundation is dedicated to promoting the protection of street and slum children in Kolkata and the most underprivileged in India. HOPE works to effect immediate and lasting change in their lives. By extending support to children and their communities via 60 on the ground projects,HOPE provides sustainable holistic solutions to protection and development. By providing healthcare, counselling and education, HOPE ensures children in its care enter adulthood equipped with the tools and support they need to live healthy and happy lives. To date HOPE has helped over 2.8 million people.
Response
Working with local staff and organisations who are committed to bringing about positive lasting change in these children’s lives, by funding and supporting over 60 projects in health, nutrition, child protection and education. HOPE also advocates for better services , provide ways to support access to local Government programmes, and being a voice for our beneficiaries .
Projects

To continue our Protection Programmes. At present, HOPE has 12 Child Protection Homes, a Child Watch Programme and an Anti-Trafficking Programme.

To continue our Education Programmes. HOPE currently operates 4 creches for slum children, our Nabo Asha education programme for street children and a Holistic Education Programme that works with 37 Government Schools.

To continue offering our Healthcare Programmes. We run our HOPE owned hospital, a Blindness Eradication Programme and Community Healthcare Programme and Emergency Response Unit.
